China October Urban Surveyed Unemployment Rate: Upcoming Release

The National Bureau of Statistics will release China’s October urban surveyed unemployment rate on September 15, 2025.This unemployment rate publication provides key insights into conditions in the urban labor market. By definition, the unemployment rate represents the percentage of the urban labor force who were unemployed and actively seeking work during the reporting month.The importance of this data is rated at level 2. The figures are collected using the national monthly labor force survey methodology, covering a broad sample of approximately 340,000 households each month. The data is published monthly, with the next release scheduled for October 2025.
