Kind-hearted and soft, in the adult world, most of the time, it becomes a vulnerability that others can exploit. As a child, I was always taught to be kind to others, to be understanding, and to cause less trouble for others. So I learned to consider everyone’s feelings, got used to swallowing my grievances, and giving others the benefits, thinking that this would earn genuine sincerity in return. But I later realized that the more understanding you are, the more people will escalate their troublemaking. The more you retreat, the more people will take advantage of you. The softer your heart, the more others will take your efforts for granted.
