In a recent TechFlow update, on March 13, according to The Block, the team behind Bankrbot, a tool that allows users to directly issue meme coins on the platform, has reconfigured the system and ceased responding to commands from Elon Musk’s xAI-developed AI model, Grok. Previously, interactions between Grok and Bankrbot had resulted in the creation of 17 Tokens, with the most notable DRB Token reaching a market capitalization exceeding 30 million USD.

The incident began in early March when user @coin_domin requested Grok on the X platform to provide Token name suggestions for Bankrbot. Grok suggested creating “DebtReliefBot”(DRB), which Bankrbot then executed by issuing the Token through the automated Token deployment tool Clanker on the Base blockchain.

According to on-chain data, wallets associated with Grok have accumulated fees of over $500,000 from these transactions. The anonymous founder of Bankrbot stated that the wallet will soon reach millionaire status. However, due to concerns about Grok’s inability to responsibly manage its own wallet and protect funds, the developers have decided to cut off the response mechanism to Grok commands.
