Jan 7th, 2020, Fourth Paradigm announced in the HKEX that it plans to sell up to 27.92 million shares, raising a total of HKD 1.402 billion, at a price of HKD 50.2 per share. The net proceeds from the sale will be used for: (1) core product research and development, focusing on generative AI research, optimizing Algoritma, improving product performance, and consolidating technological advantages; (2) business expansion, actively exploring new markets, especially overseas and emerging markets, supporting the development of overseas business entities, strengthening marketing channel construction, enhancing brand influence, and exploring business synergy opportunities; (3) M&A opportunities, continuously acquiring high-quality assets to achieve resource integration and rapid development, and enhance industry competitiveness; and (4) general corporate purposes.
