On January 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM (UTC+8), Roam will officially launch the Pilot Burn Pool, helping users convert Roam Points into $ROAM Tokens. Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the burn pool mechanism and operation process before the TGE to maximize the returns of Roam Points. As a special activity for the Spring Festival, the Pilot Burn Pool will start on January 24 and continue until the TGE.
What is the Pilot Burning Pool?
As one of the important assets driving the Roam ecosystem, Roam Points play a key role in incentivizing users to participate in network construction. Users will receive corresponding Roam Points as a reward for each contribution in the Roam network. The launch of the Pilot Burn Pool will further enrich the Roam ecosystem, leading users to unlock new features and participate in more ecosystem activities. Users can flexibly manage their Roam Points and convert them into $ROAM Token. Once Roam Points are burned, they will be permanently destroyed. The Roam Pilot Burn Pool adopts a dynamic conversion rate mechanism, and the specific conversion rate depends on the total amount of points burned and the number of Tokens generated within a specific time period. The generation of $ROAM Token is fixed within each cycle, but the conversion rate will fluctuate, so choosing the right time to participate can yield higher returns.
The Roam Pilot burn pool operates in cycles, with each cycle lasting 1000 seconds. Users can choose a minimum of 10 cycles and a maximum of 1000 cycles. Once the number of cycles is selected, the invested Roam Points will be locked within that cycle and cannot be unlocked in advance. Users can only join the next cycle after the current cycle ends. All $ROAM Tokens generated from burning can be directly withdrawn to the user’s personal Roam wallet after the TGE.
Roam provides three different types of burning pools, designed to meet the needs of different users:
**1. General Burning Pool: **For all Roam users, it provides a simple and easy way to participate. Users can earn Roam Points by adding WiFi nodes, check-ins, inviting friends, and other methods through the Roam App to participate in the General Burning Pool.
**2. Miner ‘Burning’ Pool: **Exclusive to Roam miners (such as Rainier MAX 60, Baker MAX 30, or MetaBlox OG devices), this pool offers a higher exclusive conversion rate. Miners can increase their points by mining, inviting check-ins, installing routers in high-traffic areas, or deploying more router miners.
3. Sticker Burning Pool: Designed specifically for Roam Sticker holders, users can obtain Stickers by checking in through the Roam App, and participate in burning Roam Points based on the quantity and rarity of the Stickers. Roam Stickers are divided into 4 categories based on rarity.
Common sticker: 50 Roam Points
Rare sticker 100 Roam Points
Epic stickers 250 Roam Points
Legendary stickers 1000 Roam Points
How to calculate the quantity of $ROAM Token?
The amount of $ROAM Token generated in each burning cycle is fixed, and users participating in the cycle receive Tokens in proportion, calculated as follows:
( The total amount of $ROAM Tokens generated during this period ) ÷ ( The total amount of Roam Points burned during this period ) × ( The number of Roam Points burned by the user during this period )
Using two consecutive burning cycles as an example:
**Cycle 1 :**User A burns 1, 000 Roam Points, User B burns 2, 000 Roam Points. A total of 3, 000 Roam Points were burned. If 30 $ROAM Tokens were generated in this cycle, User A will receive 10 Tokens, and User B will receive 20 Tokens, distributed proportionally.
**Cycle 2 :**If user C joins and burns 3, 000 Roam Points, a total of 6, 000 Roam Points will be burned. The number of Tokens generated in this cycle remains at 30, and the rewards will be adjusted proportionally: User A will receive 5 $ROAM Tokens, User B will receive 10 $ROAM Tokens, and User C will receive 15 $ROAM Tokens.
From the above examples, it can be seen that the number of participants and the timing of burning have a significant impact on the final income. Users need to adjust their decisions based on the number of Roam Points in their personal accounts, the number of participants in this period, and the conversion rate of the burning pool before each participation in order to obtain the maximum income.
How to participate in the Pilot burning pool?
Download and install the Roam App, create a personal account.
Obtain Roam Points and Roam Stickers by completing tasks or deploying Roam miners.
Click ‘Join Now’ on the activity page in the App.
Choose the appropriate burning pool (generic pool, miner pool, or sticker pool), and determine the burning cycle.
After confirmation, Roam Points will be locked until the burn cycle ends.
In addition, users also need to pay attention to:
Minimum investment Roam Points: To participate in any burning pool, a minimum investment of 500 Roam Points is required.
**Points Lock: **Roam Points must be held in the wallet for 48 hours (based on UTC time) before they can be burned.
Cannot be canceled: Once the burning process begins, users will not be able to cancel it. After the burning is complete, Roam Points will be permanently destroyed.
$ROAM Token Extraction: $ROAM Token will be available for withdrawal after TGE.
Revenue Difference: There may be a difference between the estimated number of $ROAM Tokens and the actual amount received, and the specific amount will be affected by the number of participants and the burn conversion rate.
Summary
The Roam Pilot Burning Pool provides users with a flexible way to convert Roam Points into $ROAM Tokens. Whether it’s a general pool, a miner pool, or a sticker pool, each pool offers different profit opportunities based on user contributions. By understanding the conversion rates of each pool and choosing the right time to participate, users can continuously optimize their earnings. In the future, the Roam Burning Pool will launch more features, providing richer participation opportunities. The burning pool is online, will the TGE be far behind? Download the Roam App now, earn Roam Points, participate in this special Spring Festival event, and prepare for the upcoming TGE.
