On January 15th, Jinshi Data reported that Boeing (BA.N) delivered a total of 348 aircraft in 2024, a decrease of nearly 35% compared to the previous year, less than half of Airbus’s 766 deliveries. Boeing received 569 aircraft orders in 2024, with a net order of 317 aircraft. Boeing delivered 30 aircraft in December last year, including 18 737 aircraft. Currently, Boeing is facing a series of crises, starting with the door falling off a 737 Max aircraft on January 5th, 2024, which triggered an investigation, customer protests, and ultimately leadership changes. In the months following the incident, the company slowed down factory production to handle defective or delayed parts from suppliers.
