Odaily Planet Daily News Delphi Ventures founding partner José Maria Macedo posted on X that after reading Ambient founder Doug Colkitt’s X post (Note: Colkitt predicted the content of Justin Drake’s proposal at ETH Foundation’s Core Research Institute yesterday), I was originally excited about the vision of ETH 3.0, but Justin Drake’s actual proposal was disappointing. It’s basically a refactored codebase that can achieve 4-second block times and quantum resistance, these features will be achieved in 2029-2030. These upgrades alone are not enough to make ETH Layer1 competitive, nor are they enough to make people believe it is competitive. The ETH Foundation needs to have a bigger dream. Odaily note: Justin Drake proposed the ‘Beam Chain’ upgrade proposal for the ETH consensus layer at the Devcon conference yesterday.
