Gate.io data on September 13th: A report jointly released by the Amazon Environmental Research Institute and other institutions in Brazil showed that in August this year, more than 685,000 hectares of original forest in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil were burned, an increase of 132% compared to the same period last year. The report pointed out that in August this year, the area of burned original forest accounted for 34% of the area destroyed in the Amazon rainforest that month, higher than 12% in 2019, and the highest record in the past five years.
