On August 14th, according to Canalys data, global cloud infrastructure service spending in the second quarter of 2024 rose by 19% year-on-year to reach $78.2 billion. Although enterprise IT budgets have recovered, a large portion of the spending is now used for AI-related investments. In this quarter, the top three suppliers AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud collectively rose by 24%, accounting for 63% of the total spending.
