Solana has just recorded its strongest growth week of x402, with daily transaction volume reaching a record 380,000 USD on November 30, an increase of 750% compared to the previous week. This positions Solana as the most active network for x402 payments, reflecting a rapid shift from the AI-agent narrative to real on-chain cash flow.
Unlike speculative activities, bots and AI agents are making real payments for services through x402, indicating a demand that is hard to fake. Although the numbers are still small compared to DeFi, this is a clear signal that real users are making recurring payments on Solana.
The x402 protocol — allowing APIs and AI agents to pay on-demand with USDC without gas fees — is being widely integrated. If the momentum continues, x402 could become a stable source of demand for Solana blockspace and USDC liquidity, strengthening Solana's position in the agent-economy era.
