Anthropic cuts off OpenAI's API access to Claude

According to a report by Jinse Finance, The Information reported that Anthropic cut off OpenAI’s access to Claude via the API on Friday. An Anthropic spokesperson stated that this move was due to OpenAI using our coding tools prior to the release of GPT-5, which violated Anthropic’s terms of service. These terms prohibit the use of Anthropic’s AI technology to develop competing AI models.
