BlockBeatNews

According to BlockBeats news on July 22, as reported by Decrypt, researchers from cybersecurity company c/side reported that malicious Monero XMR mining software has attacked multiple websites, marking the resurgence of cryptojacking. At least 3,500 websites are running injected hidden Monero mining scripts. Unlike traditional cryptojacking, this malware avoids the obvious characteristics of traditional cryptojacking by limiting CPU usage and hiding traffic in WebSocket streams. Hackers implement attacks on unpatched websites and e-commerce servers following the strategy of “keeping a low profile and mining slowly.”
