United Nations: One-fifth of the population is starving, Gaza faces the risk of famine.

Jin10 Data, May 14 - A report released recently by the United Nations World Food Programme indicates that after more than two months of blockade by Israel on the Gaza Strip, 470,000 people in the region are facing the most severe fifth stage of food security classification - “catastrophe” level food insecurity. This means that approximately one in five people in Gaza is experiencing “severe food shortages,” and the entire Gaza area is in a state of “severe food insecurity.”
