Argentine lawyer files criminal complaint with the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice on the LIBRA incident
BlockBeats news, on February 18, according to Cointelegraph, an Argentine law firm filed a criminal complaint with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on February 17, accusing the mastermind behind the collapse of LIBRA Token and calling for an investigation into the role of Argentine President Milé. On another legal front, Civic Coalition ARI also filed a criminal complaint on February 17, urging the Justice Department to investigate allegations of bribery and fraud against Milé. LIBRA Token briefly pumped on February 14, after President Milé posted a message about the project on X platform (formerly Twitter). The post has since been deleted, emphasizing the project's support for 'small businesses and startups in Argentina' and including a contract Address, which led to the Market Cap of the Token soaring to $4.56 billion, only to plummet to $257 million within hours. These new legal challenges stem from previous criminal charges in Argentina, accusing Milé of participating in fraudulent activities by supporting the Token.
