ELX, Elixir ecosystem's future native utility and governance token, empowers consensus and enables its holders to shape the future of the network.

With the final release of the mainnet, Elixir will become completely decentralized. While being a completely decentralized network, it also includes community governance led by ELX holders.

The general goal will be to 1. create effective governance mechanisms, 2. use ELX as a cryptoeconomic security incentive, and 3. ensure the network's decentralized and permissionless state.

Network Architecture

Elixir's modular network infrastructure is decentralized and efficient. The network reaches DPoS consensus for the mint/redeem mechanisms of deUSD and orders to exchanges. Evidence of fraud is sent to the Ethereum mainnet where staking and delegation flows occur.

Data Collector

The data collector collects data from multiple exchange streams and combines them in a deterministic data frame, signs and publishes them to validators and auditors. This part of the Elixir technology stack enables validators to act on relevant correct data from exchange feeds.

Validator Network (DPoS)

Elixir's validator network operates with a decentralized proof-of-stake system that requires a 66% consensus applied on the relay node. End users transfer their stakes to validators, and the validators with the most stake-based weight will receive the majority of validator emissions on a curve-based basis to secure the network.

Relay Nodes

Relay nodes hold trading keys for individual exchanges and calculate order request frameworks from individual validators. After the order request expires, it is forwarded to an auditor for verification. In the long term, API keys will be protected within these nodes via SGX + Shamir's Secret Sharing.
