Deep Tide TechFlow message, April 09, according to an official announcement from Monad Foundation, it announced the launch of a dedicated device subsidy program (MF Security Initiative), which will provide dedicated signing notebook computer subsidies for protocol teams with a total value locked (TVL) on Monad of no less than $2.5 million, to be used for multisig, treasury management, and other critical operations.

Monad Foundation noted that several major security incidents in the DeFi space could have been avoided by using dedicated devices. Because everyday computers involve ongoing security risks in activities such as browser use, programming, instant messaging, and video conferencing, once they are compromised, attackers can control the transaction details, hash values, and confirmation process the user sees, making verification effectively meaningless. While hardware wallets are necessary, if the host machine has already been compromised, attackers can still tamper with the signed payload or inject fraudulent hash values, so relying on a hardware wallet alone is difficult to fully prevent.

Eligible protocol teams need to complete the corresponding security training and routine KYC process before they can apply for the subsidy. Interested projects may email secteam@monad.foundation or contact Monad Foundation through its existing communication channels.
