Trump says US and Iran expected to hold face-to-face talks "soon"

Mars Finance reported that on April 8, U.S. President Donald Trump said that after a two-week ceasefire agreement between the U.S. and Iran’s, the two sides are expected to hold an in-person meeting “very soon” in Islamabad, Pakistan, to help reach a long-term agreement. Trump said the talks could take place as early as this week, and that members of the U.S. delegation may include the U.S. special envoy for Middle East issues, Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Kushner, among others. He also said that Vice President Vance “may not attend,” mainly for security reasons. (CCTV News)
