I caught up with Evie @0xEvieYang, whom I haven't spoken to in a while, to learn about the differences between Chinese and American AI venture capital and overseas expansion.

In the context of the Web3 bear market, many agencies are shifting their focus to AI overseas expansion. JE Labs is one of them. They already have several successful cases. Unlike Web3 marketing, AI products focus more on actual ROI, such as targeting the right audience, precise ad placement, tiered KOL selection, SEO, star ratings on tech forums, offline events, and so on. Correspondingly, the investments are higher. These investments must show visible results within a certain timeframe; every dollar spent is directed toward real needs.
In terms of venture capital, in the U.S., entrepreneurs in the inner circle have significant advantages in fundraising. Senior employees from big companies might find themselves competing for top-tier fund money at a gathering. Relatively speaking, Chinese entrepreneurs in the U.S. often face more obstacles. In China, investors still have plenty of capital and liquidity. Everyone aims to invest by 2026, with major focus on LLMs, infrastructure, and chips. For workflow and vertical-specific projects, investors generally don’t pay much attention to your tech because it’s too easy for big companies to iterate on it. Instead, they look for teams with successful entrepreneurial experience or resource advantages in the industry. Having an established enterprise track record combined with AI Advanced 26 年 makes it easier to attract capital. Ultimately, it’s about how easily you can exit.
Evie has recently been in the U.S., and everyone can schedule a chat with her ☕️ to exchange ideas and learn from each other. In this era of AI Advanced 26 年, communication and trust between people are especially valuable.
