I just saw an interesting political phenomenon. Trump is going to Texas this week mainly to test his midterm election messaging. Why Texas? The key lies in Latino voters.

Last year, when Trump was re-elected, support among Latino voters reached a new high for the Republican Party in over half a century, hitting 48%, which drew considerable attention in political circles. Texas has about 40% Hispanic population, so political issues concerning Latinos are especially sensitive here.

But there's a problem—recent polls show that Trump's support among Latino voters is declining. What are the main reasons? The economy and immigration enforcement policies. Many Latino voters are dissatisfied with these two areas, which directly affects their political preferences.

The White House has already stated that Trump will be touring nationwide regularly until the midterm elections. He has already visited key states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and even conservative states like Iowa. During his event in North Carolina, he also endorsed Republican Senate candidates.

A detail worth noting—recently, the Republican Party redrew the district maps in Texas, aiming to flip five seats to maintain control of the House. But whether this will succeed is still uncertain.

So, this stop in Texas is actually very critical. Trump needs to regain support lost among Latino voters, especially by offering new perspectives on economic issues. The changing attitudes of Latino voters could directly influence the landscape of the midterm elections.
