Federal Reserve's Moussallem: Iran War Energy Shock Will Fully Drive Up Inflation

Mars Finance News: On April 1, St. Louis Fed President Alisaal Mousalem said that energy shocks related to the war with Iran will definitely affect overall inflation and may also put pressure on core prices. Mousalem said: “I expect that increases in commodity prices will feed into overall inflation one-for-one, and there will be a period of high overall inflation. Core inflation will also be affected to some extent through transmission; I will closely monitor the degree of transmission and the correlation between the two.” (Jin Ten)
