Information Times News (Reporter Chen Bingqian) Recently, it was learned from McDonald’s that during the 2026 Spring Festival, over 7,700 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide will remain open throughout the holiday period, with more than 100,000 restaurant employees on duty. At the same time, nearly 6,000 McDonald’s restaurants across the country will install shared power bank devices during the Spring Festival to provide immediate charging support for those in need.
McDonald’s stated, “While continuing to serve customers, McDonald’s is committed to making every on-duty restaurant employee feel the warmth of the holiday. On the day before New Year’s Eve, McDonald’s will send a New Year thank-you letter to all restaurant employees, including a personalized annual work review and surprises such as red envelopes or lottery prizes.”
On New Year’s Eve, all on-duty employees will receive a cash red envelope for the New Year. Some restaurants will also organize reunion dinners and give New Year gift boxes.
To express gratitude and care for the delivery riders who stay on duty and ensure delivery services, McDelivery has launched an exclusive benefits meal for riders, allowing them to purchase a variety of McDonald’s products at special prices. It is expected to cover nearly 100,000 riders nationwide on average daily during the Spring Festival.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, McDonald’s appeared at the Guangzhou Yuexiu Park Lantern Festival, bringing the “Intangible Cultural Heritage Lantern Flash Mob” activity. Meanwhile, McDonald’s set up New Year-themed booths simultaneously on traditional flower streets in eight districts of Guangzhou (Yuexiu, Haizhu, Liwan, Huangpu, Baiyun, Panyu, Zengcheng, Nansha) and in two districts of Foshan (Chancheng, Nanhai), creating a festive atmosphere welcoming the New Year.
