The American Bankers Association Calls on OCC to Slow Down Approving National Bank Charters for Digital Asset Companies

Mars Finance reports that on February 12, the American Bankers Association (ABA) called on the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to slow down the approval process for national bank charters for digital asset companies. The banking industry lobbying group stated that the OCC needs to ensure its regulatory and bankruptcy frameworks can handle the risks posed by cryptocurrency and stablecoin companies, and urged all parties to exercise patience.
