Her elevation to Independent Chair recognizes her deep involvement with the company and her track record in driving board-level oversight and strategic direction. This appointment is effective immediately as of the new year, positioning her to guide the company through its current executive transition.

Interim Leadership and James Holanda’s Appointment

During the interim period before Holanda’s arrival, Todd M. Koetje, Cable One’s Chief Financial Officer, has taken on the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer. This ensures operational continuity while the company prepares for its formal leadership change. James Holanda is set to take the helm of Cable One following the conclusion of his current professional commitments, with his start date targeted for no later than March 31, 2026. He will succeed Julia Laulis, who recently retired from her positions as Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

James Holanda’s Industry Credentials

Holanda brings over three decades of experience in the cable and broadband sector, making him a seasoned executive with proven leadership credentials. Most notably, he spent 15 years as Chief Executive Officer of Astound Broadband, where he oversaw strategic growth and operational excellence. Prior to this, he held the position of CEO at Choice Cable TV of Puerto Rico and served as President of Patriot Media in Central New Jersey. His career foundation was built during a decade at Comcast, followed by five years at Charter Communications, where he progressed through various roles in accounting, finance, business development, and operations, building comprehensive expertise across the industry value chain.

The appointment of both Mary Meduski as Independent Chair and James Holanda as CEO reflects Cable One’s commitment to experienced leadership as it navigates evolving market dynamics in the cable and broadband industry.
