Shenzhen Public Prosecutor's Office files charges against 30 suspects – Bank accounts frozen

The Shenzhen Public Prosecutor’s Office recently indicted 30 individuals in connection with a large-scale financial fraud case, including the main suspects Sui Guangyi and Ma Xiaoqiu. The investigation revealed a coordinated fraud network that systematically harmed investors through fake financial products and dubious investment promises. According to NS3.AI, the suspects’ bank accounts have been frozen to secure the assets.

Fraudsters Used Fake Financial Products and Air Tokens

According to the investigation, the accused allegedly used Ding Yifeng Asset Management and its subsidiaries as a facade for their illegal activities. The central fraud instrument was the so-called “DDO Digital Options” program, which involved a pure air token—a financial product without a real economic basis. Through misleading marketing campaigns and manipulated return promises, the gang managed to collect large sums of money from unsuspecting investors.

Extensive Asset Securing and Bank Account Freezing

Authorities secured significant assets during the searches. In addition to several properties and vehicles, stock holdings registered to the suspects were also confiscated. Of particular importance is the freezing of all bank accounts linked to the suspects—a measure intended not only to prevent further transfer of funds but also to facilitate refunds to affected investors.

Fraud, Illegal Fundraising, and Money Laundering

The indictment includes serious charges: fraud, illegal public fundraising, and money laundering. This combination indicates a professionally organized network that not only deceived investors but also attempted to conceal illegal proceeds through complex transactions. The frozen bank accounts play a key role in clarifying the money flows and investigating additional involved parties.
