Aster Unveils Phase 5 Token Buyback Strategy with Aggressive Fee Allocation

Aster is set to roll out the fifth iteration of its token repurchase initiative starting December 23, 2025, marking a significant commitment to ASTER token value support. The protocol will dedicate up to 80% of its daily platform fees toward acquiring tokens from the market under this new phase.

The buyback mechanism operates through a dual-track approach designed to optimize market impact. The first component allocates 40% of daily fee revenue for continuous, automated purchases of ASTER tokens. This systematic buying creates consistent demand pressure and helps establish a price floor through regular market participation.

Complementing the automatic purchases, an additional 20%-40% of daily fees will be strategically reserved for opportunistic acquisitions. This flexible allocation allows Aster to respond dynamically to market conditions—increasing buyback volume during price dips and moderating activity during rallies. By separating routine purchases from tactical interventions, Phase 5 seeks to maximize the effectiveness of token reduction while maintaining operational efficiency.

This enhanced buyback structure underscores Aster’s commitment to long-term token economics and demonstrates a willingness to return substantial protocol revenue directly toward supporting ASTER token holders.
