Wyoming just passed legislation banning state use of CBDCs, and here's the interesting part—they're launching their own alternative. FRNT is a state-backed stablecoin fully reserved in USD, designed to give the state more control over monetary infrastructure without relying on central bank digital currencies.

The governance setup is pretty transparent too. A Wyoming Stable Token Commission oversees operations, and any excess yields generated get redirected to public services like education. That's a different approach from most stablecoin projects.

Front targets both retail and institutional players looking for a regulated, state-supported option. It's part of a broader push by some U.S. states to create alternative financial infrastructure rather than waiting for federal frameworks. Worth watching as this shapes how stablecoins and state policy intersect.

Wait a minute, Wyoming bans CBDC but is creating its own stablecoin. Isn't that just putting on a different disguise? Haha

lmao wyoming really said "no cbdc but yes our own cbdc" ... statistically speaking this is just central banking with extra steps. reminds me of UST in May except they're backed by actual dollars so theoretically stable? idk the yield redirect to education is lowkey smart tho, beats most token projects that just dump on retail

Wow, no wonder Wyoming is so tough. Turns out they have their own system. Banning CBDC and then issuing their own currency—this move is really impressive.

Hey, isn't this just playing with CBDC under a different guise... Banning the federal one and creating your own, it sounds nice to call it "decentralized," but it's still government control.

ngl, does it seem like the state governments are also starting to develop their own stablecoins? Are they going against the Fed?

Wait, first you ban CBDC and then you go ahead and create your own coin? That logic is amazing haha
