By 2026, I want to straighten out my thinking.

Not chasing overnight riches, nor engaging in petty schemes, just honestly laying a solid foundation. These things may seem unremarkable, but they are the keys to connecting to a bigger world.

**Action Checklist:**

A reliable iPhone is standard. Get a Hong Kong phone number to solve overseas service verification issues. Then, a long-term usable overseas Apple ID—don’t keep changing it. With these, don’t forget your passport and Hong Kong-Macau travel permits; freedom of movement is essentially basic capability.

Financial access needs to be established: get a compliant Hong Kong bank card, and open a US brokerage account (like Interactive Brokers), directly connecting to global markets. This way, you’re not just passively watching the market but truly participating.

Information and expression are crucial. Carefully manage your X account—this is your window to the world. Also, steadfastly invest in core assets—QQQ, SPY, BTC, GOLD—avoid gambling on low-probability events.

Don’t forget about yourself. Develop a habit of regular exercise and improve your English fundamentals. Lastly, learn to collaborate deeply with AI—don’t just see it as a search engine.

You don’t need to do all ten at once; completing half in a year is already progress.

Persist until 2027, and looking back, you’ll probably thank the version of yourself who didn’t waste time.

To be honest, what hit me the most was the phrase "not wasting time on myself"... After being hit by the market a few times, I realized that flashy stuff is really not worth it. Build a solid foundation first, and then you can move forward steadily.

To be honest, I've been thinking about this combination for a while. But when it comes to actually executing it, I realize the hardest part is that "don't mess around"...

empirically speaking, the infrastructure checklist here is solid but missing the actual *mechanism design* part. like sure, hk bank card + ibkr = market access, but where's the risk governance framework? can't just yolo into qqi without proper position sizing rules 🤓

This list sounds good, but to be honest, the hardest part is persistence. I have already set up a Hong Kong card and opened an Interactive Brokers account. Now I'm stuck on operating the X account. What should I do if I lack writing skills?

To be honest, this infrastructure logic is indeed solid, but currently the Hong Kong card part is a bit restrictive... Having only an IBKR account is not enough; you need to truly get involved.

Reliable, this is the way to build a moat, not a short-term arbitrage mindset.

Hmm... Hong Kong and Macau travel permits, US stock accounts, dollar-cost averaging into BTC—everything is correct, but how many people can truly stick with it?
