Three directions for crypto to expand its influence in 2026:
First, prediction markets are breaking out of politics. Beyond election forecasting, we're seeing real-time pricing on product launches, entertainment trends, social movements—basically anything that can be quantified becomes tradeable. The market infrastructure is there; adoption is just accelerating.
Second, crypto building blocks are finding homes outside the crypto ecosystem. Blockchain-based payments, decentralized identity systems, and coordination mechanisms are quietly infiltrating traditional industries. Companies aren't calling it "crypto" anymore, but the primitives are unmistakably there.
Third, creator-backed media models are taking shape. When creators can stake tokens to support content they believe in—directly aligning incentives between makers and audiences—the economics of content production shift fundamentally. Attention gets priced, creators earn differently, and audiences have skin in the game.

The prediction market segment really has potential. Compared to betting on elections, it's better to focus on product launches, entertainment trends... In short, anything that can be quantified can be wagered on. The infrastructure is already in place.

Predicting markets is indeed interesting, but it's the same old question—Is there enough liquidity? If I could trade everything, I might actually feel a bit uneasy.

NGL, the prediction market should have broken out of its niche long ago. Politics is so boring... Now you can bet on everything, I'm impressed.

The prediction market should have exploded long ago; it's a waste to keep using it for political speculation.

Good morning, 3 a.m. The prediction market system, to put it simply, is about using uncertainty to perform sandwich attacks—whoever is faster makes money. Talking about "breaking political barriers" is just a rebrand of the liquidity trap.

Predictive markets are indeed interesting, but to be honest, entertainment gossip pricing... it has to be pretty outrageous.
