Why should your personal identity keep enriching platforms that don't pay you back? The reality is, your data generates massive value—but none of it flows to you.
Zero-knowledge verification changes that equation. It lets you prove who you are without handing over your actual information. Your identity becomes an asset you control, not a commodity someone else mines for profit.
This is where decentralized identity infrastructure gets real. You're not just protecting privacy—you're reclaiming ownership of the most valuable thing about you: yourself. That's the whole point of Web3 done right.

Nah, really, our data has been freeloaded by vampire platforms for so many years... If zero-knowledge proofs can truly be implemented, it will be a game-changer.

I've been annoyed for a long time, every day being drained by the platform. Data is valuable but I don't get a penny.

Basically, our data has been freeloaded for so many years, it's time to turn the tables.

Someone should have said this honestly a long time ago: we've been working for these platforms for free all these years.

According to the white paper, this zero-knowledge proof incentive mechanism actually has vulnerabilities—the liquidity issue after data ownership confirmation hasn't been resolved yet.
The governance proposal shows that most projects haven't figured out the Tokenomics of identity assetization, still discussing ownership transfer on paper.
That being said, it still feels like the same old story—the ideals of Web3 are very lofty, but in reality, 99% of dApp users can't even manage their private keys properly, so what self-sovereign identity are we talking about?

ngl, the logic of this zero-knowledge proof is truly incredible... After being drained by the platform for so long, finally someone dares to speak out.
