I picked up a book related to cryptocurrencies that is popular in the market, but honestly, I still feel confused about where the essential core parts are written. The book dedicates pages to explaining blockchain technology, but I feel it doesn't answer the question of why cryptocurrencies themselves are necessary or what their fundamental value is. Ultimately, isn't there too much content that only satisfies superficial knowledge?

Ah, I’ve also read this book. It really just talks about the principles of blockchain technology and doesn’t explain why crypto is absolutely necessary.
That’s the problem—publishers just want to ride the wave of crypto hype, who cares about in-depth content?
Technical explanations alone are useless; value proposition is the core, brother.
The authors of such books probably haven’t figured it out themselves—they just copy the whitepaper.
It seems that most content in the crypto field nowadays is like this: superficial and avoiding the real philosophical questions.

This book is really just brainwashing beginners; there's no useful content at all.

What, more superficial books like this, really unbelievable.

The technical explanation was a bunch of talk, but they avoided discussing the core value. This kind of tactic is really annoying.

To be honest, I've read a few books of this kind, all of which focus on technical details to the point of obsession, but they don't dare to address the question of "why we need it."
Those authors probably can't explain it clearly either. Instead of delving into it, they'd rather just harvest the early adopters.
There are very few books that can clearly explain the value proposition.
