As the AI era approaches, the value of data is being redefined. A native protocol within the Sui ecosystem is attempting to build a decentralized data value network that everyone can participate in, through technological breakthroughs, ecosystem expansion, and community co-creation.

From a technical perspective, the most noteworthy is its RedStuff two-dimensional erasure coding scheme. This technology is quite mature—requiring only 4 to 5 times redundancy to ensure that even if two-thirds of storage nodes go offline, data can still be fully recovered. The cost advantage is also remarkable—98% cheaper than traditional storage solutions. But the real innovation lies in its on-chain access control functionality. This mechanism has handled 70,000 data decryption requests, allowing sensitive information like medical records and advertising data to be securely stored, authorized by permissions, and monetized. This design is almost tailor-made for data circulation needs in the AI era.

The pace of ecosystem expansion is also accelerating. A strategic partnership with Veea Inc. has introduced NVMe-driven edge computing capabilities, meaning users can complete transactions and access data even without internet connectivity. Additionally, over 100 cross-chain price feeds from Pyth Network are integrated, enabling users to pay storage fees with various tokens. This design allows developers on different public chains to connect seamlessly. Currently, more than 70 ecosystem partners have joined, ranging from CUDIS’s health data monetization, Alkimi’s advertising financial innovations, to ReMeme’s on-chain Meme economy—various application scenarios are gradually being activated.

Community governance is even more interesting. A 10% token airdrop covered 120,000 addresses, and 43% of community reserves are supporting innovative projects through the RFP program. Token holders can also participate in voting to decide whether RWA assets are integrated, how fees are set, and other core matters. This decentralized governance framework indeed shows some clever thinking.

Data-wise, by the end of 2025, the network will have stored 1.11PB of data, supported by 103 storage operators and 105,000 accounts, jointly sustaining this ecosystem. Based on this foundation, the deflationary value of the token and ecosystem dividends are accelerating.

the 98% cost reduction claim needs independent auditing... sounds too clean, ngl

98% cheaper? How is this number calculated? Feels exaggerated.

98% cheaper? How is this number calculated? Are they just bragging again...

98% cheaper? That number sounds a bit suspicious; it depends on how it performs in practice.
