In the long run, government sales of Bitcoin may actually benefit "decentralization."

If we analyze from a longer time horizon, the Department of Justice selling Bitcoin could instead reinforce a core characteristic of Bitcoin: no single entity can control it permanently. Government sales mean these Bitcoins re-enter the market circulation, dispersed across more addresses and held by more holders. From a decentralization perspective, this is not a bad thing.

More importantly, such events constantly remind the market that Bitcoin does not depend on any government, institution, or will for existence. It can be confiscated or sold, but the protocol itself remains unaffected.

As the market gradually becomes accustomed to government involvement, withdrawal, and re-engagement, Bitcoin's price will be more influenced by global liquidity, adoption rates, and macroeconomic conditions rather than a single piece of news. Therefore, a truly mature market is not one without negative news, but one that can quickly distinguish between noise and trends when negative news appears.

From this perspective, the Department of Justice's sale is both a stress test and a rite of growth. #美司法部抛售比特币
