CoinVoice has learned that, according to data from blockchain security company PeckShield, the losses from cryptocurrency hacking attacks in December 2025 are approximately $76 million, a significant decrease of 60% from $194.3 million in November, marking the largest monthly decline in 2025. Despite the reduction in losses, about 26 major attack incidents still occurred that month.
The largest single incident involved a mistaken transfer of $50 million to a malicious address, and a multi-signature wallet lost $27.3 million due to private key leakage. Other major attacks include babursol losing $22 million, Trust Wallet browser extension being stolen for $8.5 million, and Unleash Protocol and Flow each losing about $3.9 million.
