Forecasting is the infrastructure of Web3

The operation of markets, protocols, and institutions is all based on probabilistic judgment, but these judgments often occur before the actual results are known. Ironically, most current prediction systems have a fatal flaw—unverifiable, lack of transparency, and secretive operational mechanisms.

Subnet 6(Numinous) aims to change this status quo. In the crypto market, information asymmetry often directly impacts the efficiency of capital allocation. When prediction systems are verifiable and sufficiently transparent, participants can assess risks more accurately, and market pricing becomes more effective. This is not just a technological upgrade but also a matter of the entire ecosystem’s credibility.

Imagine, from liquidity predictions of DeFi protocols, to adoption rate estimates of L2 scaling solutions, to the discovery of governance token values—each step relies on reliable prediction mechanisms. If these prediction processes operate as black boxes, the decision-making efficiency of the entire ecosystem will significantly decline.

The emergence of Numinous signifies that Web3 is beginning to address this infrastructure flaw. Through engineered accountability mechanisms, making prediction systems transparent and auditable from behind the scenes to the forefront, this is the foundation for long-term healthy development.

The transparency of the prediction system should have been addressed long ago. Otherwise, how can we trust it?

Black box prediction is indeed a tumor, but can Numinous really solve it? I doubt it.

How many people have been fooled by black box predictions? Finally, someone is going to expose this issue.

lol "verified predictions" sounds nice until you realize most predictors are just sophisticated guessers with better spreadsheets... numinous probably gets liquidity-crunched within 6 months like every other oracle attempt

Black box prediction is really amazing; it feels just like House of Cards.

It sounds like the goal is to make predictions transparent, but the reality is that most people don't care about the black box as long as they can make money.
