At the Web5 Ecosystem Summit, Eric Chan, Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, revealed that the government is studying the legal framework for issuing and trading tokenized bonds, while also optimizing related measures. The goal is to gradually apply tokenization technology to Hong Kong’s bond market and enrich the local digital asset ecosystem product line.
