Federal Reserve personnel changes are imminent. Can the interest rate cut expectations still continue?

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】The power transition at the Federal Reserve is accelerating. Director Milan recently revealed that he is very likely to stay on after his term ends at the end of January next year until his successor is confirmed. Behind this statement is a foreshadowing laid by Trump for his next personnel arrangement—since Powell will step down as Fed Chair in May, Trump needs to secure a seat on the board for his preferred candidate.

It is worth noting that Powell has not yet clarified whether he will leave the board after his term as Chair ends. This means Trump is very likely to use Milan’s seat to install his favored Chair candidate. From Trump’s statements, he has already hinted that a decision on the Chair will be made early next year, and he explicitly said he will only support candidates who advocate significant rate cuts.

Regarding the stance on interest rate policies, Milan remains cautious. He stated on Monday that he will continue in his current position until replaced, but whether he will continue to dissent on rate decisions in the future depends on subsequent policy developments. This uncertainty perhaps reflects the complex internal negotiations within the Federal Reserve over policy direction. For traders closely watching macro policies, these variables are worth ongoing attention.

Wow, is Trump causing trouble again? The rate cut expectation is probably going to cool off this time.

Another big personnel drama, Trump's move is truly brilliant, directly turning the rate-cut "puppet" into the game.

It's the same story again, Trump wants to push for rate cuts at the Federal Reserve... Listen, Milan staying on is just a token gesture anyway.

Coming back with this again? What is Trump trying to pretend? Can lowering interest rates stabilize the market... Whether Powell stays or not is the key, waiting for a turnaround.

Here we go again. I've seen this personnel drama script more than once... Trump playing the game of "handing over empty gloves for white wolves" is becoming smoother and smoother. The expectation of interest rate cuts might have to be further discounted.
