Solana's new bridge to XRP sparks community debate: ecosystem expansion or liquidity transfer?

【Crypto World】At the Solana Breakpoint 2025 conference, LayerZero and HexTrust jointly launched a brand new XRP cross-chain bridge. Once this permissionless bridging solution goes live, it means that XRP, with a market cap of up to $122 billion, will have a direct channel into the Solana DeFi ecosystem. Sounds good, right? But the XRP community is divided over this.

Supporters’ logic is straightforward—the more use cases XRP has, the more XRP locked in different ecosystems, and the higher the demand, which is beneficial for XRP’s long-term value. This expands XRP’s economic territory.

However, opponents, including XRPL veteran contributor Vet, present another perspective: liquidity will quietly shift. Once XRP is heavily used in Solana DeFi, value creation and profit accumulation will start to tilt toward Solana. Economic activity on the native XRP ledger may be diluted. Is this a win-win for the entire ecosystem or is the core being sidelined? That’s the real question.

In simple terms, this isn’t about whether XRP can be used or not, but about where the economic focus of XRP is drifting.

XRP-0.85%
SOL-0.83%
ZRO-1.77%

There's nothing wrong with what you're saying about liquidity transfer. Once XRP moves into Solana, it's like being married off, and all the profits go to others.

Once again, it's this kind of "seemingly a win-win but actually a covert battle" situation... Why does the story of Solana siphoning XRP ecosystem feel so familiar? [Sweat] Rebirth depends on oneself. Don't place all your hope on cross-chain bridges; they are just channels. The key is for XRP's own ecosystem to be strong enough. Otherwise, it will just become a tool for liquidity transfer. Opportunities and traps are often separated by just a thin layer of paper... This round, be patient and wait for real data. Don't follow community emotions; rebuilding your mindset is the most important. 122 billion USD... sounds scary, but only those that can truly activate and be used are valuable. The rest are just on-paper numbers. --- Is the XRP community splitting? Normal, any big move will cause tearing... I only trust my understanding of this project; everything else is noise. Only through cycles can we see who is genuine and who is fake. --- Basically, it's a gamble whether Solana's ecosystem can bring real incremental value to XRP or just siphon liquidity... It depends on the actual trading data coming up; just hype won't cut it. --- Where is the bottom range? Does anyone really know? Instead of worrying about community splits, it's better to think clearly about whether your faith is still there... Mine still is.

It's the same story again, tired of the rhetoric about liquidity transfer... But on the other hand, with $122 billion just drifting into the Solana ecosystem, won't it really be exploited for profit?

Ha, once this bridge opens, liquidity will surely flow to SOL. XRP will just serve as a transit station.

To be honest, this bridge is a double-edged sword... It seems like an open ecosystem, but in reality? Liquidity instantly shifts and moves to Solana, while XRP is still waiting idly for appreciation.
