There is new movement over in the US. The Senate recently held a procedural vote, moving two key positions in the crypto circle one step forward — CFTC Chairman candidate Mike Selig and FDIC Chairman candidate Travis Hill, are now in the final voting stage.

Sources inside the Senate say that these two, along with others, bring Trump's total nominations to 97 officials, with a focused vote scheduled for next week. Selig previously worked at the SEC, specializing in crypto-related matters. If everything goes smoothly, he will take over as CFTC Chairman. This represents a significant change in the crypto regulatory landscape.

Hmm... Selig moving from the SEC to the CFTC might mean the regulatory restrictions could loosen a bit.
