Elon Musk drops a bombshell:

When Earth becomes too small for AI ambitions... the solution lies in the sky.
-
The upcoming AI dilemma that many overlook isn’t just about the scarcity of chips, but about “energy.”
With its current electricity resources, Earth is already struggling to keep up with the ever-growing hunger of data centers.

Here, Elon Musk presents a new economic and philosophical equation:
Move “computing” to where energy is free, abundant, and unlimited… to space.
-
The idea goes beyond just launching traditional satellites;
We’re talking about “orbital servers” with (Localized AI compute), orbiting in sun-synchronous paths to ensure a continuous flow of energy.

The results are beamed via laser at incredible speeds to the Starlink network.

According to Musk’s calculations, this model adds 100 gigawatts of processing power annually, with virtually zero operating and maintenance costs, because we’ve simply eliminated the terrestrial electricity bill.
-
But the deeper and more strategic dimension lies in the next step he hinted at:
Turning the Moon into Earth’s manufacturing back-end.

Instead of depleting our resources and fighting Earth's gravity with expensive rockets, factories would be built on the Moon and launched using (Mass Drivers), taking advantage of the Moon’s weak gravity.

This shift isn’t just science fiction; it’s an actual transition from Earth’s “economy of scarcity” to a cosmic “economy of abundance.”

It is a serious attempt to propel humanity toward what’s known as a Type II Civilization (Kardashev II),
where we don’t just consume our planet’s resources, but begin to harvest the full energy of our star.
-
The future belongs to those who control energy and processing power, and it seems the next economic race won’t be over oil fields, but over solar orbits.
