A British hacker named Danny (real name Danish Zulfiqar, also known as Khan or Meech), who has been active in the crypto scene for several years, recently got caught. This guy was behind two major incidents: he was involved in the Kroll SIM swap attack in August 2023, and even more notably, last August he stole $243 million directly from Genesis creditors.
But the long arm of the law finally caught up with him. The latest reports suggest he was apprehended by law enforcement in Dubai. To make matters worse, his crypto assets were seized as well—about $18.58 million currently sits in an address starting with 0xb37d. No matter how well you hide, you can't escape on-chain tracking, and Dubai's cooperation this time was impressive.

There's nowhere to hide on-chain. This guy has definitely taught us a lesson. Dubai really didn't let him get away this time.

Dubai did a great job this time, freezing $18.58 million directly... There are no real secrets on the blockchain, bro.

Haha, Danny really messed up this time. Even escaping to Dubai, he still got caught. There are never any secrets on the blockchain.

There's nowhere to hide on-chain; this time I'm completely done for.
