PANews reported on November 17 that the Ethereum domain project ENS announced it is migrating its L2 network Namechain to Nethermind's Surge, a native sharding framework built on the Taiko technology stack. ENS stated that it believes native ordering and native sharding technology can best support the core values of decentralization required by Namechain: fast determinism, Ethereum native settlement, and censorship resistance. With Surge, ENS can launch Namechain as the first phase of sharding and clearly plan the upgrade path for the second phase.
