On October 30, news reported by Hong Kong Wen Wei Po stated that the chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, Huang Tianyou, said yesterday that there are currently no regulations in Hong Kong governing listed companies' participation in investing in Crypto Assets. The commission will monitor market conditions and study the provision of relevant guidelines for the market. Huang Tianyou added that there are currently no laws in Hong Kong to regulate listed companies' participation in virtual asset treasury arrangements. For listed companies claiming to adopt digital asset treasury (DAT), Huang Tianyou urged investors to be cautious and clearly understand what DAT means and its underlying value. He also stated that the issue of listed companies purchasing Bitcoin will be studied.
