South Korea launches stablecoin ATMs for foreign tourists



The South Korean blockchain company DaWinKS has partnered with the Kaia DLT Foundation to launch a stablecoin ATM that supports cash exchange for USDT, allowing cash withdrawals of USDT issued on the Kaia blockchain. It has already been launched in various tourist and retail locations. This ATM is only available for users holding foreign passports and supports the exchange of 85 fiat currencies or top-ups to local transportation cards. This project operates under the regulatory sandbox framework in South Korea and is not currently open to local residents.
