Bitcoin and Ethereum lead global digital asset investment products with a record inflow of funds.
According to Coinshares' weekly report, global digital asset investment products saw an inflow of over $3.3 billion last week, pushing the year-to-date inflow to a record $10.89 billion, with total assets under management reaching a historic high of $187.5 billion.
This capital inflow trend indicates that despite facing macroeconomic challenges such as Moody's downgrade of the US rating and the surge in US Treasury yields, investors are still seeking diversification through digital assets.
Among them, the United States digital asset investment products topped the weekly net inflow chart with a market capital inflow of $3.29 billion, followed by Germany, Hong Kong, and Australia, with inflows of $41.5 million, $33.3 million, and $10.9 million, respectively. Meanwhile, Swiss investors locked in profits due to the recent stock market rally, resulting in a weekly capital outflow of $16.6 million.
In addition, BTC leads with a weekly inflow of $2.979 billion, which also exceeds a quarter of the total inflow for the entire year of 2024.
Some investors see the recent price increase as an opportunity to short, and products that short Bitcoin have attracted $12.7 million in inflows, which is also the highest weekly short inflow since December 2024.
At the same time, ETH saw a weekly inflow of $326 million, reaching the highest level in 15 weeks. Along with the continued improvement in market sentiment, Ethereum has achieved price increases for the fifth consecutive week.
It is worth noting that XRP has ended its consecutive 80 weeks of inflows, with a capital outflow of 37.2 million dollars last week, setting a historical record for weekly net capital outflows.
In summary, as Bitcoin and Ethereum lead the global inflow of funds into digital asset investment products to a record high, we have seen strong confidence in the cryptocurrency market.
Do you think this trend of capital inflow will continue? And will it be possible to change the investment landscape of the financial markets in the future? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!
