According to Gate.io News bot, The Block reported that the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has taken regulatory action against World (formerly Worldcoin), co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The authorities suspended its operating license in Indonesia after receiving public complaints regarding Worldcoin and World ID activities.

An official investigation found that World’s local operating entity in Indonesia, PT. Terang Bulan Abadi, has two violations: failure to complete the electronic system operator registration process and conducting business activities under the name of another legal entity.
