In many ways:
We are free-to-play-and-earn: you don’t need to buy an NFT or hold tokens to earn. Just download, install, start questing, and start earning
We have an integrated multisig wallet: download, install, create an account and you also have a wallet. So, no need for metamask or any other wallet.
We are multichain and also launch on SKALE. This is a gasless chain, so you also don’t need a gas token! So, no need to go to an exchange, do KYC, buy the chain’s token, then send it to the game, etc.
Being fully decentralized means that there is no central authority anymore. As long as gamers play Cryptopia, it will be online. Similar to BTC, as long as people use it, it will be functional.
All our gaming logic, all our rules, all the resources, and everything else are on-chain and cannot be changed. Unlike almost all other web3 games, we cannot change the gaming environment, the gaming rules, or the gaming scarcity.
What you see (can check) is what you get! This solidifies the trust of the community in our eco. You can invest all your time, your money or both, and be absolutely sure nothing will change in the future.
This is as fair as it can be!
Absolutely! But only when the games start to understand the balance between earning and rewarding must shift. And for this, they need to stop seeing gamers as ‘walking wallets’ which can be monetized. And start seeing them as co-creators, as participants who add value and therefore must be rewarded.
I believe it can only be sustainable if there is a fair exchange of value. If you add value to the eco, you are rewarded. If you don’t add value, you should not be able to extract value, otherwise the game or project bleeds to death.
A game can be sustainable if it somehow convinces its participants to stay invested with time, attention, and money. This is not to say that everyone needs to transact. Look at the freemium model in traditional gaming. Only a small percentage needs to make purchases. We use the same. We don’t expect everyone to become a Tycoon or to make purchases. But, the ones that don’t spend still contribute by being an active player, by providing services to other players, by keeping our eco lively. And they do so, because their time and effort is rewarded. Without spending money, they can earn, which keeps it attractive for them to keep the value in the game. So, we have enough stimuli to keep value in and have people re-invest the value that they accumulated by just spending time with us.
So, games that can reward players for their most precious possessions, which is time, these games can be sustainable.
We have many exciting plans, but we need to focus rigorously. For now, we limit ourselves to:
SDK our tech stack, so other projects can use our wallets, accounts and node network.
Branch out to other chains. We can go anywhere if there is a good opportunity!
Transforming into a DAO and handing over the reins to the community.
Letting the community decide where to go!
