Marriott International has signed a new global agreement with The Coca-Cola Company, making Coke the exclusive beverage provider for its properties after 35 years of being in the Pepsi camp. This transition will see all Pepsi products replaced with Coca-Cola beverages across Marriott’s over 9,800 properties worldwide, beginning this summer. The switch is primarily driven by guest preference, with over 70% of Bonvoy members reportedly preferring Coke products, and also includes significant financial incentives for Marriott.
