Consistent Konjac: Focus on the ramp-up of konjac ingredients, tea beverage snacks, and carrageenan products in 2026
On March 30, Yizhi Konjac released an investor relations activity record. It disclosed that, in response to the question “What are the main factors affecting the company’s profits in 2025? What are the core measures to improve performance in 2026?” Yizhi Konjac replied: Pressure on profits in 2025 mainly came from three areas: first, although raw material costs saw a slight decline, they remain at a high level, which led to a narrowing gross margin; second, costs increased due to share-based payments and increased depreciation from fixed assets converted to investment; third, competition in the market intensified, and the unit prices of certain categories of products declined. In 2026, the company will focus on three areas: first, release production capacity—focusing on advancing the raised-investment projects and self-funded investment projects, and for the full year concentrating on ramping up capacity for konjac food ingredients, new items in tea beverage toppings, and carrageenan products; second, expand market scale—strengthen the stock of existing advantaged products (such as konjac gum and traditional tea beverage toppings), while also promoting large-scale production by improving automation to reduce costs (e.g., automation of konjac food ingredient production lines), and strictly controlling the three categories of expenses to optimize costs; third, drive price pass-through—dynamically adjust in light of market competition conditions.
