Pakistan: US-Iran talks may be held in Pakistan within the next few days

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dar made a speech on March 29 at local time, saying that the United States and Iran have expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to facilitate the talks. The U.S.-Iran talks may be held in Pakistan within the next few days. “Pakistan would be honored to host and facilitate meaningful talks aimed at reaching a comprehensive and durable solution to the current conflict.”

According to CCTV News, on the 29th Dar issued a statement outlining the outcomes of a meeting among the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia held that day. The statement said that Dar briefly briefed the participating foreign ministers on the prospects of U.S.-Iran negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital. The foreign ministers expressed full support. The four countries decided to establish a committee composed of the four foreign ministers to consult and develop specific proposals for resolving the conflict.
