Thailand reaches an agreement with Iran on the passage of its oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz

On March 28, People’s Financial News reported that Thai Prime Minister Anutin stated on the 28th that in response to the crisis caused by the rise in oil prices in Thailand due to the situation in the Middle East, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently been actively communicating with relevant countries. According to the current agreement reached with Iran, Thai oil tankers can safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz. On the same day, Anutin held a media briefing at the Government House to explain the government’s measures to address oil price fluctuations. He said that the government will focus on advancing four areas: diplomatic coordination, energy security, commodity price control, and safeguarding people’s livelihoods, and called on the public to jointly implement energy-saving measures to cope with the situation.
